1-21-12 Who's DNA do you carry?

1/21/12 Who’s DNA do you carry?
As God created the heavens and the earth, so He created man, in His image.  Not as a body but, as a spirit of righteousness, unto the likeness of the Father himself.  Just as earthly beings we are the likeness of the ones creating us (our parents) we have the DNA of the spirit of the Lord implanted within us.  We have His attributes, His compassion, His peace, His righteousness, His humbleness, His desire to please the Father.

The spirit of the Lord.  And what is that spirit?  We are endued with power from on high!  Lord, let us realize that power and walk therefor in it.  Just as Christ was a humble servant, so we humble ourselves before you to be used by you in whatever capacity you so desire.  There is no “lowly” position that is not worthy to be done to your glory.  For by glorying in the task (the purpose, the calling) for which you ordained us from the beginnings of the earth we are glorifying the one who made us.

I was asked the other day what I thought about Tim Tebow and his kneeling before God.  It was a table topics question at a Toastmaster meeting.  Meaning that it was a question whereby you must “think on your feet” and stand and give an answer.  My answer started with “years ago I was told that I give too much credit to God. To which I replied that everything I am and everything I do is because of the way that He made me.” I went on to talk about my current habit of kneeling before Him as a knight kneeling before a king and how after watching the movie First Knight it had occurred to me that how much greater should I kneel before my King and honor him by laying down my sword and vowing to serve Him (even unto death).  Which has lead to creating a sword to wear while praising – as He had told me last year that my praise is my weapon (Ps 8:2) and symbolically I lay it at His feet.  I ended with saying that Tim Tebow’s kneeling has little to do with himself, and nothing to do with those around him, but rather is an acknowledgment of the one who created Him.

I am NOTHING except what God has made me.  I will not apologize, nor step back from where I believe God is leading me! I will humble myself before Him and let Him direct my path.  I will not allow men’s opinions to dissuade me from His will for my life!  I refuse to listen to any direction except what He puts into my heart.

Any ideas I have are “God” ideas, for He is the one who created me and He is the one who puts these “ideas” into my head.

Father I vow to write as you give me utterance, even if no one ever sees/reads them in my lifetime.  For in you there is no time.  Just as you went from “here” to “there” in an instant in the accounts of the Bible, so time has no meaning to you and 15 years is nothing but a brief whisper in the night.

The book says copyright 2005 – this makes this the 7th year.  Does that mean it’s time is completed and it is ready to be released?

Guide me oh Jehovah!  See if there be any wicked way in me.  Create in me a pure heart oh God. Purify my heart. Guard my footsteps that I should not step left nor right, but, shall always stay within the narrow path of your guidance.

Humbly I bow before you, to be used as you will, whether it be abased or abounded, it will be to your glory.

Melissa (seeker of knowledge)  Going (wherever you so lead)

1-18-13 Jeus in disguise

1-18-13 Jesus in disguise This is the refrain running through my head this morning – “Jesus in disguise, Jehovah passing by,” They were looking for a King they would never recognize – various lines from a song by that name by Brandon Heath.   If you look at the lyrics of the song – obviously – they were not in my head exactly right. As in the past they were looking for Messiah to come to rescue them from the oppression.   Since they were looking for him to be a certain way, they missed him when he came. In Luke 24:13 – 32 two of the disciples were walking when a man started walking beside them.   It wasn’t until he left them that they realized it was Jesus. I submit to you that Jesus appears to us in many forms.   Mt 25:35-40 says that we clothed him and fed him when we did it unto others (paraphrasing). Another line from this song says “open my eyes wide as I can, blind as I am” I can feel the Lord pretty much always, so there was a time ...

1-6-14 What is holding up your promise?

1-6-14 delay is not denial - what is holding up your promise Gen 15:16 ... the sin of the Amorites ... Gen 10:15 Sodom and Gomorrah were among the lands of the Amorites. Gen 18:20 says the people were extremely evil. 19:5 gives clear understanding as to their sin. Back to 15:16 it took four generations for the sin "to run its course" so that Abraham's descendants could return to the land they were promised. the delay in your promise may be being caused by someone/thing else occupying the space reserved for you.

1-27-16 The Water Wheel

The Water Wheel 1/27/16 I saw an image in my head of a water wheel.   You know how a water wheel is in a ditch of water.   Well there was a person trying to climb out of the water by climbing on the water wheel.   Of course every time he stepped on the wheel all he succeeded in doing was making the wheel turn and go down, back into the water.   Someone suggested turning the motor on and letting the wheel do the work. There are a couple of key points here. First is about trying to do things on our own.   And about how that is counterproductive.   You see the way a wheel works is to turn and scoop up water and then dump it onto another wheel that turns at a sideways angle in order to turn the wheels inside the house in order to grind the meal.   Therefore its movement would be in an upwards direction and when someone is trying to climb on it, they are moving it counter to its intended movement, downwards.   So doing things in our own...
