1-25-14 John 3:16 I'm a whosever

1-25-14 So I asked God what did He have to say today – I heard John 3:16 We all know John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth on him shall not perish but have everlasting life. I’m reminded of the words of a song “whosoever surely meaneth me”.   I AM a whosoever! You know, only a parent can love like that – give their all for their children. Mat 7:9 -11 says:   Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Unconditional love – Our children may mess up, may mess up really bad. We may even have to separate ourselves from their destructive patterns. But, we NEVER stop loving them. 1-21-14 Where is your stronghold?

1-21-14 Where is your stronghold? Reading today’s devotional in Charles Stanley’s Into His Presence. It is talking about David and says “David was in his stronghold… David plotted the next attack against the enemy.” Where is your stronghold?   Where is it that you are seeking God?   Where is it that you are claiming war against the enemy? The enemy seeks whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8).   Devour = to destroy, waste; to engulf, absorb. 1 Peter says like a lion.   A lion will tear its prey to shreds.   What does he seek to devour?   Your family, your finances, your mind, your spirit, your very soul and those of people around you.   Are you ready to take the battle into the enemy’s camp?   Have you spent time with the commander-in-chief and made a plan of attack?   Divide the troops.   Send this platoon after this enemy (i.e. homelessness), and another after a different enemy.
